Prana & Ponies: Crete

Join Jen Hicks for a ride through time across the Cretan countryside. Squish your toes in the rare pink sand of some of Greece’s finest beaches, explore ancient ruins, and a sampling of Greek culinary delicacies during our week-long retreat Prana and Ponies: Crete. Daily yoga and meditation sets the tone for fun-filled days spent horseback riding, beach combing, and immersing in the best of Greek culture.

We have carefully selected top rated boutique hotels which we will occupy almost exclusively with our retreat group.

Our first three nights we enjoy the naturally gorgeous countryside at the Country Hotel Velani.  Every room comes with a private balcony or garden where you can enjoy the birds, panoramic views, and listen to the breeze in the olive trees. We’ll practice yoga poolside each day together.

Our next three evenings we rest at the highly-rated Panorama Hotel in Falassarna.  Panorama Hotel is known for amazing sunsets, spacious rooms, and gracious service.  We’ll practice yoga poolside and enjoy walks to the beach.  Panorama Hotel makes an excellent hub for exploring two of the world’s most impressive beaches, Elafonisi and Balos Beach.  

We conclude our stay in Crete at the Hotel Doma in Chania.  Chania is a special city, Venetian in flavor, with a walkable center, it is an ancient epicenter of beauty and charm. Family-run for generations, Hotel Doma sits at the waterfront, an easy stroll down the promenade delivers you right to the heart of old town Chania.
